Walking through the back roads of Umbria, Italy, I have found beautiful poppies surprising us in various spots. By the roadside, at the corner of an old olive grove, at the base of an ancient wall or by a barn; always competing with the sunsets for the most briliant red and orange.
I am putting it up for sale today, 11/11/2018, a hundred years since the WWI armistice, to remember and honor all our veterans.
